Software Experience

During 1998 I learned AutoCAD and practiced it in office computer to draw drawings.

Since 2007 I started using STAAD.PRO and designed a 60.00 m long single span Steel Foot Bridge D/S of Pechiparai dam. For my PG project I did Pushover analysis using STAAD.Pro, since it is a Commercial Software they rejected the thesis. So I changed to Sap2000 software but their requirements altered for laboratory validation project.

My PG Thesis is to validate the IS-800 newly adopted Shear-lag Concept in Steel Connection Design with locally available material. Samples Tested in lab are compared with software in Plain Stress Condition. I tried this in Finite Element software ANYSIS During modelling the load transfer nodes of brick element was not matching with rivets connection, the technic of joint constraints was not known at that time. Finally by using tetrahedral elements I completed this in SOLID WORS Software.

During 2009-2012 when I was in-charge of checking Structural adequacy of multistory buildings approved by Directorate of Town and Country Planning. During that period various design engineers come with their designs modeled in 3-D software for checking. With my knowledge of STAAD and CSI general software SAP2000 It is easy for me to learn SAFE and ETABS. Now I purchased the Structural and earthquake Engineering software SAP2000 with Perpetual License. With this software I can do nonlinear modelling and analysis for non-linear static (Model-Pushover) and non-linear dynamic (FNA) for  

Design and Detailing.
